| Is there any place that sells american board games in Korea? I could have some shipped over, but thats a little spendy. I was thinking maybe something in Itaewon or Kyobo bookstore? I found a cheap jenga game at the local E-mart, but I am looking for party games like Trivia, Taboo, Scatagories, etc. |

I was able to get settlers of catan off gmarket.co.kr. It was an english version and came with korean instructions so it made playing with korean friends that much easier I am pretty sure they had some others on there as well. I know some people order off of amazon.com. |

| I looked on amazon, and many do not ship overseas at least with board games. Was hoping to find in person. I guess I could check ebay as well and see if they will ship overseas. |

| Do you know roughly how much it costs to send? We're heading to Seoul in November and we LOVE board games. I'm going to have to try to fit some into my suitcase... |

I'm not sure about Kyobo, but Youngpoong has a good selection of board games (at least at the Express Bus Terminal and Jonggak branches), though they're more expensive than at home some of them may have to be ordered in. They're also in Korean, which means that you'll have to download manuals and hope that there aren't to many wordy cards to use.
There is a dedicated board game store near Sangsu station (line 6, near Hongdae), but I haven't had time to get out there yet. |

What type of party games do people fancy?
Jenga - easily turned into drinking game, etc.
Fluxx - including Zombie Fluxx
Monopoly
Risk
Trivia Games
Charades
Pictionary
and of course, Twister! |

I love Catchphrase and Taboo!!
I also really like Cranium and its offshoots. I rock the language section; it's almost not fair to the people I play with. ^_^ I have a feeling a lot of ESL teachers would do well with that though! |
