Hey, just wondering if anyone has dealt with this group before. They call themselves "Teaching in Korea" I've been e-mailing and have been speaking with them on the phone, and they said they have a job for me that sounds like what I want. Before I send them all my docs I'd like to know what you think, if anything. Thank you!

I dealt with them. I will look up my emails with them in a second, but for the mean time. Do not send any documents to a recruiter until you get a contract and ready to go. That will only lock you into that recruiter when it is not necessary at this point. This much I have learned from reading the forums Smile

I will reply back with info on them~ Hopefully you didnt go ahead though.

Edit:
Ok I did not find them. I label all the recruiters I work with. Overtime I delete them maybe several of these reasons. - They offered something but never did a follow up. - Extremely slow in response or only show interest when you first email them because they believe you will fall for a good looking job, which is just really crap. - I have had several recruiters offer a said job and then say oh we will set up the interview and then never do so.
So out of those reasons, one of those could be why i deleted them. In my experience so far, most agencies reply to you quick in the beginning, ESPECIALLY!! if you have all documents ready. Just be weary and dont send all your shit if you havent already.

Recently, I sent them a resume and a pile of other stuff, and they replied that they couldnt help me find another school in Gyeongsangnam-do, because of a policy that says a recruiter can't facilitate an EPIK transfer within the same provincial board of education. I think I read that somewhere else on here, too.

Then the recruiter went on to tell me that she is sending someone else to my school to fill the seat I will vacate.

So I offered to send her pictures of my school, apt and some tips about the job and environment. I also wanted to inform her about some little friends that I have been feeding. The recruiter never returned my e-mail. Rolling Eyes

I only wanted to help the new teacher, but it looks as though the recruiter doesnt want anything to discourage her next squeeze.

Anyway for what it is worth. It's an elementary school in Haman Gyeongsangnam-do, and if this is the place where your recruiter is recommending you, you might want to PM me.

Good luck!
