Hey all. My pianist friend and I (I have a Master's of Music in Vocal Arts from USC, and my pianist friend has a Master's of Music in piano performance from South Africa) are going on an endeavor, and putting together a choir and small chamber orchestra, to perform Handel's "Messiah" in it's (mostly) complete version this Christmas time.
What we need are people interested in singing, that are able to sing on pitch (experience in choirs is a big plus, but not necessary), that would like to be part of a group that wants to make beautiful music, and do something different for this holiday season coming up in Korea.
We also are looking for experienced instrumentalists (strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion), that have experience playing in a small chamber orchestra.
You do not have to be christian to take part. You just need to want to perform beautiful music with other like minded people!

Hey Moldy,
Rehearsals are only going to be once a week on the weekends. People are joining from Daejeon. WE are purposely doing only once a week for 2-3 hours in preparation, so people can come from everywhere! We would love to have you! |

I would love to join! I may be a bit rusty, but I sang in choir all through high school, lol. |

This made me chuckle. Annual "Messiah" concerts back home, mandatory for anyone that's ever gone through choir doors. |
