This is a great scoot, only selling because i got my license and am getting something much bigger. The best thing with a 50cc bike in Korea is that you need no licence, registration, or insurance. You can drive away legally without any effort and never spend a dime on the bike again. The bike is automatic with no clutch and is as easy as a peddle bike to ride. The top speed with one person is about 70km/h and with 2 people is 64 km/h. I ride with my girlfriend on the back all the time which is close to 300lbs of payload. The gas millage is amazing and costs about 6000won to fill up. There are 6500km on the bike. The scoot has completely opened up Seoul for me and it only took me a couple weeks of riding to become really comfortable with navigating around the city. I'am the second owner and am not sure of the year , sorry. The bike is electric start and I have never once had a problem starting it, there is also a kick start backup that I used once to see if it was working.
I also have a helmet and scooter lock that are negotiable. Delivery is also negotiable depending on distance and time.

um... you need at least a car license for anyting up to a 125cc, and as of next year you will need a full bike license for all bikes.

The fine for not having a proper DL is up to 2 million KRW, plus a 2 year ban on getting a license.

I was really under the impression you didn't need a licence for anything under 50cc. I've been stopped twice by the cops, they looked at the bike, looked at me and laughed. They then let me go with no fine or even a warning. None the less my heart was beating through my chest.

K sorry guys, not trying to cheat anyone. I looked at it a found this site, it looks like you do need a license to drive a 50cc bike. I have just been through this as i'am upgrading to a bigger bike and it took 1 hour and a total of 12 000 won to change my liscence from back home to a korean drivers license. THERE WAS NO WRITTEN TEST, i handed in my home license, they then sent me for a physical which was on the property that lasted literally 20secs and then I got my korean license all in under an hour.

but for a 50cc you don't need to register or insure the bike.

I hope this site helps anyone curious about the law

U.S. citizens need to take the 20 question test, and pass the medical test which consists of reading three or four letters/numbers on an eye chart and squatting. Koreans love the squatting. maybe that's what they're all doing on the sidewalks and in the markets...squatting to practice for their driving test...genius.

^^Haha. I had to do that squatting thing too! At the time, my Korean girlfriend didn't even know what was going on.

And you're right. You must take the twenty question test, but unless you're a complete moron, you don't need to study. You'll get the questions wrong about the amount of money to be paid for certain traffic violations, but you'll still pass.

I'm american and they never gave me a written test, or made me squat. Maybe it's all changed now? All I did was give them my american license and they told me to come back an hour later.
