That's kind of interesting....all those jobs where I'm from pay about $8.00 an hour. I love it how they tag some job in downtown Los Angeles and then proclaim "Oh hey this job pays $25.00 an hout" wothout telling you that in LA 25 an hour isn't crap. |

Fishy. Some of these positions, such as interior designer, are like being an actor, pilot, athlete, or professor -- most of the money is made by a small percentage at the top, and the rest make peanuts. |

Exactly, and as a former employer of mine used to say "If it were that easy, everybody would be doing it." I am sure there are vaccum salesman who pull over 6 figures a year, but is it realistic to imply that everyone who tries to sell them is going to strike it rich? |

My younger brother barely graduated high school & the lucky bastard got my grandmother to pay for his tuition at UTI http://www.uti.edu/ (not a urinary tract infection) He's 24 now and a mid level Nissan tech & based on his check stubs he's grossing around $1500 a week - much less after taxes. He likes it, and Nissan subsidizes advanced training. |

I was making $25 an hour teaching English back home. That shouldn't be a surprise. Some people actually value this stuff. Wishing it was here. |

i enrolled in (and quit before payment was due) a paralegal program this year. most of the positions are below $15 an hour unless you have experience, and a lot of them seem to be of the secretarial sort - light paralegal work, and serve coffee.
too many law school graduates taking up the real paralegal jobs. |
