Not sure about the other 3 movies, but I will sure be seeing District 9 on the big screen.
On a different note, there is an interesting study done on EFL teachers:
ESL Recession : Study One (Teachers Are On The Rise)

and
ESL Recession : Study Two (Where did all the schools go?)

The main character is very funny and the graphics are good. An original approach to the whole aliens coming to Earth theme and fun way to waste a few hours if you're bored.
But ultimately forgettable. |

I don't think it was forgettable at all. Especially not if you have this http://www.fookinprawns.net/
The only problem is that because of Korean subtitles much of the alien speech will be impossible to understand. |

It is also an interesting way of hinting onto the whole apartheid and racism issues. I would say it works both ways an original approach to the aliens and an original approach to racism. |

Hmmmmm didn't think of that. It would be nice if the Koreans placed the subtitles on the upper portion of the screen, but one can only hope. |

I really enjoyed this film. It came out in New Zealand before I came over here.
Good action, funny script and some nice SFX |

One of the most likeable main character's this year, it has to be said. His one liners are very funny...
I can't remember any but they were good.
I think all the 7 Native Eng Speaking people will get them, possibly bar Canadians and Americans who might find his accent hard to understand and some of the colloqialisms.

Dang it. They did that to Apocalypto too. Felt bad for the Americans sitting in front of me who had to watch a movie in a language they didn't understand with subtitles they couldn't read. There was one guy who could read it and he was translating the entire movie for the rest of the group. |

Apocalypto is not English, However District 9 is English, just with a South African accent and maybe 20% alien dialect. Still watchable without the subtitles. |

Yeah I was talking about the alien language since I'm sure many people here don't speak alien. |

I watched this awhile ago, i found it a bit cliched. I wonder if the sequel will be the aliens returning in X years bent on revenge. Anyways, isn't it common sense seeing his state at the end that he'd basically change into a full Prawn? And damn, i want one of those mechs. |

I don't think him changing into a full prawn was exactly a plot twist... |
