|
|
I'm leaving the state and heading to Korea in a little over a week.
When I arrive in Korea I would like to be able to connect my laptop to a television so I can watch movies on a decent sized screen (15" isnt bad though).
Can anyone give advice as to what I need to do this?
And should I buy the connections in the states or wait until I get to Korea.
I dont know what kind of tv will be in my apartment (if they've even bought a television yet). |

so I arrived in Korea and my school didnt buy me a flashy flatscreen, plasma tv.
Is there any place that you can recommend getting a DVI to video adapter in Korea.
I tried the electronics mall at Yongsan and the only thing they sold was the mini-dvi or the dvi to hdmi.
Any recommendations? Is there an online electronics store that I can use that ships in Korea? |

What does your laptop have? DVI? VGA? What does the school's TV have? VGA, DVI, RCA? |

I have a 15" inch Macbook Pro (the aluminum model that preceded the Unibody Macs). It uses DVI not Mini-dvi....the tv that I want to connect to uses RCA... |

I have that same one. You need this cable:
http://store.apple.com/kr/product/M9267FE/A?fnode=MTY1NDA3Ng&mco=MTA4NDU1Mjc
Then you just use the standard RCA (red, white, yellow) and plug just the yellow into that adapter and then into the yellow port to the back of the TV. |

was this recently? I'm getting the feeling that most places are only carrying the mini-dvi.
Also...is there a non-Apple device I can buy if an Apple product is no longer available? |
