So, I've got a solid 3 months or so before I'm out of here for good (at least I hope.)

What things should I do before I go? I'm thinking the War Memorial for sure. Probably the Suwon castle too. But other than that, I can't come up with anything.

I've done the DMZ. Kyoung-Ju was one of my favorite weekends. I was a frequent visitor to the National Museum for a while. Seen all the markets. Done all the "only in Korea" things... except dog soup, don't think I could bring myself to that one.

What else? What did you realize after you left that you wish you had done?

I havent done the DMZ yet. I hope to do it sometime.
Have to agree with Kyoung-ju, its pretty awesome place to ride a bike. Lots of stuff to do and see there.
By Suwon castle do you mean the Suwon fortress? if soo , i checked it out last year, its pretty neat.

YOu should give Jeju a try if you havent. Maybe even the Hanok village in Cheonju. A trip around Pusan is nice to see too if you havent seen it yet. Nami Island ... Other small Islands around korea. Man theres way too much to stuff to do/ see =p If you have access to a car its much easier to get to various places and see more of the country.

Sea parting festival, green tea fields, getting up to the peak of Halla-san. Plenty of temples and historical sites.

Wae-do is Ok. I took a boat from that festering sore that is Koje-do-nothing better than an internment island-which first went around Hae Gung Gang( some rocks out in the middle of nowhere), stopped off in Wae-do for an hour Confused then had to get back on the boat back to Koje-do.

Take your trot music and dried squid for the ride!
