For those of us in Public schools, we spend large parts of our day just killing time, (like me, only 2 classes on a Tuesday) and the boredom gets really bad sometimes, and with summer vacation a lot of us will have some serious deskwarming to do.
I've found some facebook games which are great for killing time.
My current favourite is a game called Battle stations. Lots of fun, and pretty strategical. Basically, you build a ship and attack other ships. 5 different classes, plenty of different ships and hundreds of different items. There are lots of viable builds, and it's damn addictive. So if you are bored, why not give it a shot?

What other facebook games are you guys playing? |

I get more invites to facebook games than actual friend invites.
I'm sitting on 646 invites to a whole lot of crap I don't understand. While I do think they are interesting to some degree like... what memeber of the fantastic four are you with your friend or something.. Or do you have compaitble zodiac with friends etc etc.
But some of them are just drivel. Pointless drivel. Anything that involves buying or auctioning off peopele makes no sense to me. It 's a way for people with serious social "insecurities" (maybe not so extreme) to feel good. OH look I was sold for $10000 interweb dollars. And theres like these feeds and crap on facebook.
I don't want some dude I know in highschool to feed onto my page, a video boob joke... These feeds are stupid and asinine the way they are abused. They were meant for friends to share personal material. Not "oh look what I found on the internet".
God I could for ages on the useless crap that has cluttered facebook. I miss when it first came out, it was competeing with friendster. Part of the reason people loved facebook was it's simplicity.
Now it's turned into something like myspace and it resembles a pathalogical schizophrenics home with random tandums all over the place and scribbles and scrawls with no meaning or pertience to anyone. |

Goku, fair point. For the most part, I actually can't stand the applications. And i hate all those random feeds appearing on my page (but you can block them you know?^^) and I don't publish my game feeds, so my friends don't know that I slayed 7 zombies and reached level 44.
However, once in a while there are some good games. Unlike the other stuff you've mentioned, and I've seen before, this is a solid game with loads of playability. I've been playing it over a week now, and had a lot of fun. (not like a random quiz or something, which you do once and that's it).
I don't want to get into a debate about the merits of facebook applications (as I pretty much agree with you -they suck). All I'm saying is, this game is fun non-invasive and addictive. If you want play, play it, if you don't, well I'm not going to lose sleep. |

I don't install facebook apps and the day FB let's me set something that says "ignore all future 3rd party app requests/notifications" will be the day I'm very happy.
At least now you can ignore all stories from an app after the first time its given you one, but it can become time consuming as some people seemingly sit around all day and do nothing but install and play 100000 different apps. |

| How about instead of 60 million poorly designed apps facebook creates a filter that quits sending me a friend suggestion about my ex? Or one that quits suggesting speed dating with women that live on the other side of the planet? |

How much personal info is made public? Personally, I couldnt give a rat's, but some of my friends & relatives might object strongly. |

None I believe. That is the standard disclaimer for all facebook applications. The need access to your account so they can link the application to your account and so you can share it with friends (completly optional thank god!). |
