I mean vaccines. I'm currently in the process of getting my series of Hepatitis A&B vaccines. What are some other vaccines you would recommend? Suggest anything that comes to mind.
I have never received any vaccines other than the first two Hep vaccines, Tetanus, and the flu.
I'm sure someone will ask so I'll address it now. My parents were involved in a crazy church that didn't allow vaccinations when I was a child, so no I didn't have to be vaccinated to go to public school. The religion card is grand (sarcasm). |

| Vaccinations are expensive and you don't need them. Korea isn't clean but its not nearly as bad as Cambodia, Africa or New York City so you'll probably be fine just so long as you don't make a habit out of drinking tap water. |

| I wish I had had the measles vaccine. Back in '94, my son brought friends home from school. We found out later that measles were sweeping through the school and (at least) one of his friends who had been at our place had it. I found out the hard way that I was in a niche group that wasn't vaccinated. I first had measles, which then turned into pneumonia, and finally into pleurisy (which landed me in the hospital); it took me a year to regain my energy. It was not fun. |

I will keep the tap water thing in mind. I've been getting my vaccines at the county health clinic near my city. It only costs $10 a visit no matter how many vaccines you get at one time there. I take it the ones have to get at a doctor's office will be kind of high then? |

Note to self: Get measles vaccine. Thanks for this one. You may have saved me a lot of missery. |

| Tap water in Korea is safe to drink & wash your teeth in, but has VERY minute traces of pesticides & heavy metals. Not recommended to drink large quantities over a long period of time. |

Boiling kills bacteria, it will not get rid of pesticides and heavy metals. |

| Wow I knew the tap water tasted like a swimming pool but I had no idea it had poison and metals in it. I'm glad I was too disgusted to keep drinking it after the first few weeks. |
