Hello everyone. I would like to get some feedback about the YES Youngdo English School in Bundang. Does anyone know what kind of school they are like. I had an interview last week. Everything sounded good, and when I asked for some contact numbers for the teachers I was given them without question. I just want to get some feedback about this school if anyone has experience with them. Thanks. |

I work at Youngdo in Bundang right now, and what Fidel does not know is that I believe that YES is a good school to work for.
Jonathan is pretty much an a**, from what I have heard. He hangs out a lot in Daechi, and he never comes to Bundang. The Kiwi Fidel mentioned is the best they have, and you will see him all the time. He is the best boss and friend I have ever worked for.
I know the general managers and the head teachers here and they are pretty good, although at other branches they are not that great.
You do get paid for the two hours prep time. Also, they will let you go anywhere during this time, provided you have your classes prepped. I have never seen any instance in Bundang where you could not go. Actually, you don't even have to ask permission, just say that you are going out.
Fidel is right about the curriculum, but it is easy and if you can't use it, then you probably don't deserve to be teaching. It can be altered, and you can use anything you want if it goes into the curriculum. Honestly, I have worked at other schools that do not have a curriculum and this is much better.
About the cameras, well, they are there, but they are not used all that much from what I have seen and been told.
Fidel is on the money most of the time, but the thing is I work there now, and this is how it is. |

Ok nateyb, I was giving some general info about YES schools, not specifically Bundang. And I know Matt the head teacher and he is a standup lad, so some of the problems that you might experience at one of the other branches will probably not happen at Bundang. All said, it depends on the branch managers and more importantly the head teacher and Bundang are fortunate to have Matt there. |

I have a friend who works at the Daechi branch and she really likes it. Of course there is some good....some bad...but that is to be expected.
I don't know much about the Bundang Branch, but for the most I hear good things about the school. They publish Teachers' email addresses on their website, so I would try emailing the teachers, assure confidentiality and go from there. |
