Have any of you living outside of major cities (like Seoul, Busan, Daegu, etc.) considered editing or adding to the travel wikis or Wikipedia entries?

Even some of the WikiTravel entries for major cities are severely lacking in information and could use some updates.

Would anyone like to begin a Wiki project, filling in some of the much needed travel, historical, cultural, etc. information about some of Korea's smaller cities, towns and villages?

Smile

I usually take lots of photos when I travel anywhere, and if its a touristy place I take pictures of the signs, maps, etc as well. If I find articles on wikipedia lacking some basic info or pictures, I tend to add them. I do some work on other korea related articles, mostly hockey and video games. There is a wikiproject korea here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Korea

There are a ton of korean articles that need expansion, but also articles that need expansion with sources. So it would be good if people picked things they were very familiar with, wrote them, found some sources (like newspapers, etc) and added it.

I'm in the process of expanding the Wiki page for the small little town (동) I live in.

I was taught to never do anything half@$$. This is gonna be 10 paragraphs or more long for a town that is seriously half a mile long road. I'm getting pictures up of everything. When I get it done, I'll link you to it.

It started as a joke, but it as turned into an outlet for my nerd like obsession for organization and detail.

I also take a lot of photos of stuff when I travel and try to update the trip advisor site when I can. It's like wikitravel but so much better and with a lot more people on it. Most of the time I don't even need a travel book because trip advisor goes into more detail and better updated detail than a printed book ever could.
