i hope someone can help me. Tonight while getting pizza a precious little dirty dog ran up to me. She was running away from a man kicking her. She was so dirty. I asked the pizza shop owner if the dog had a home and he said he didn't think so because he has seen it around a lot. well, i couldn't just leave it, so i brought it home. i can't keep it, though. i asked some korean friends if they knew of any shelters and they said they didn't. any suggestions? does any want a small dog or does anyone know of a shelter or a place that takes dogs? the dog is really friendly. i think it's had a home before because of it's behavior. i absolutely love dogs, but i can't have one because i'm never at home. any help at all would be gladly appreciated.

PS. i'm in mok-dong in case anyone wants it.

There're dirty dogs everywhere. What's so special about yours? Give it a wash and trade it at your nearest bosintang restaurant for leftover kimchi. I do it all the time, and it's a sweet deal considering how many dogs one can find in a few hours.

i have been an active reader of these forums for years, but this is the first time i have ever posted. the reason i have never posted before is because of people like you. your reply was uncalled for. i was simply hoping for some help - that's what i thought this forum was all about.

BTW, all dogs are special.

I offered sound advice. There's no need to be so harsh.

The most unsympathetic advice I've ever heard in my life.

Hopefully someone will be helpful and PM the op asap.

Describe the dog. What kind of small breed?

Hey, at least don't advertise it as a 'dirty dog'. If the OP can't use some basic sense, then the least I can do is provide some helpful advice.

it looks like maybe she's a maltese. she's small and white. i think she's definitely had a home. she made herself right at home on my bed, scratching on my blankets and getting comfortable. when i opened some snacks, she perked up and came running to me begging. she's so playful. i would love to keep her, but it wouldn't be fair to her to be in my small apartment all day long all alone.

You have a dog. This is not unique. More selling points, please.

Is she house trained?

If she doesn't make droppings all over then she'd be a great mascot for the hogwan.

forgive me for saying she was dirty. i guess i mentioned it because it's what i noticed the most. i see strays all the time and each time i want to pick them up and bring them home. i've never actually seen a stray as dirty as she was. if anyone were actually interested in taking her, i don't think the fact that she was dirty would make a difference.

nope, she isn't house trained. she did her business as soon as she got into my house. i can't see her running around our nice new hagwon. Smile maybe one of my kids would take her. i just hate to wait ill tuesday because i don't want to get attached to her.

Maybe, out of a sense of duty, I should take the dog, simply by taking into consideration how I kept this thread alive by responding.

Trust me, it'll be in good hands, if you know what I mean...

Yeah. I'd rather work on death row at a Texas prison than help a needy creature find a supportive, caring home.
