So I'm getting a friend to get me a N.A. XBox 360 off the base sometime soon, and I'm wondering if I'll need to purchase a Korean power supply, or would a simple plug converter work?

Wow, a simple search of the forums or google would have answered your question.

If it's a North American 360, you need a step-down converter. You can pick one up for like 15,000 at Yongsan or pretty much any department store.

Wasn't aware Dave's search function was actually working considering I had given up trying it months ago.

Thanks for the info. Cool

OP, make sure your Step-down converter (220-110v) is at least 500 watts. The Xbox 360 is rated at 160 watts, but you'll want a converter with at least double the watts just in case a power surge occurs.

OP, here's a shot of mine in action:

I'm not sure what it's rated at, but I've never had a problem running my 360 on it. I think it cost me 30,000 or so at Kim's Club at Express Bus Terminal.

Where's Kim's Club at the terminal? I might go to Technomart Sunday and just shout "PYUN AP GI" and see if I get any bites.

Edit: I just noticed we have the exact same TV Shocked Is it standard 외국인 issue?
