You're not thinking of joining them, I hope?
Reverend Moon claims that a couple joined in one of his ceremonies will be cleansed of all sin and their children will be born cleansed of all sin.
But a book which which I have read shows vivid evidence that this is not true. It is written by a Korean woman who was married to Reverend Moon's son. This was supposed to be a privilege, because the woman's father was a big businessman who turned over a large portion to the church. (You'd think anyone intelligent enough to become a big businessman would be intelligent enough not to join the Moonies.)
It turned out to be not so much of a privilege. The man was an alcoholic, a drug addict, and an irresponsible and abusive father. The woman finally escaped with the children to a shelter. |
