Can anyone recommend a location for Korean classes in the Itaewon area? I'm also open to classes held near Namdaemun, Gwanghwamun, Noksapyeong/HBC, and Gangnam.
I'm a terrible student... so cost is an issue. I don't really want to fork over W1,000,000 for a class I'm just gonna' fail anyway.
PS. Does being a terrible student and yet teaching for a living make me a hypocrite? |

The Seoul Global Center periodically offers Korean classes for free at different levels. There is also a location in Itaewon.

Secondly, the Korean Foundation Cultural Center also offers classes for free. www.kfcenter.or.kr
They are not designed to be intensive courses, but nonetheless might be a good way to see if you like learning Korean without forking over a lot at the beginning. |

Hmmm, well I like learning Korean - I'm just bad at learning. Haha.
Besides, being a gyopo with terrible Korean skills is simply embarrassing. |

Sogang university is only 10-15 minues down the road on the 110 bus.
You should be able to handle level 1, even if you are a terrible student.. |

I go to ybm near insadong. It's across the street from Tapgol park, and you can get there from noksapyeong on the 143 in about 20 minutes. |

Abraham House in Itaewon offers free* Korean classes and opportunities to enjoy cultural exchange. Abraham House looks much like a home inside, where teachers and students can socialize comfortably and even use kitchen facilities to teach each other the foods of their culture.
