Hi guys ,

Im in my first year teaching in korea . Its going ok but my after school group are doing their mid terms soon and the school has asked me to make part of the test - the reading and listening section. I have no experience and am not sure what to do ?
They are a high level elementary group 5th/6th grade.

I had to do this last year. Ask your co-teacher for a copy of previous tests so that you can see examples of the types of things the school wants (surely they have previous tests to refer to?)

Don't stress too much over it.

You're refering to a school in a country that until less than a year ago could not keep records of documents required by Immigration. Laughing

Looking at previous exams is good advice.

The school will likely require multiple choice questions which are challenging to construct based on conversation-based classes but consider yourself lucky to be asked to do so. It seriously perks the kids up if they know they'll be tested on your material.

Dont make the questions too hard & be sure theres only one clearly correct answer.

I have a number of tests which I have made. I teach an afterschool program, we teach from the book so you would have to adapt the tests based on what you have been teaching.

I have tests for English time, lets go, boost, speaking juice, my world, magic time, my world, spin etc.

I can either email you the word files or you can install dropbox so you can access (and contribute if you want) files on your home or work computer
