For the last two weeks I have been experiencing constant pain on the inside of my left knee whenever I sit down, get up, or walk up/down stairs. It's starting to get extremely inconvenient.

I believe I have "chondromalacia patellae" and a doctor I saw last week says I have fluid on the knee.

I am not sold on him as a doctor as he has prescribed useless pain killers and just seems very unsure of what to do or even what the problem is.

Does any one know a good orthopaedic doctor anywhere? preferably an English-speaking one because I need a doctor who has an idea of how to stop this as soon as possible.

I'm not a doctor

But have you knocked it in the past week or so?

If so alternate heat and cold. Get a can of "pus uu" no idea of how to hangul it. Just say to the chemist pus uu. My knee is about double the size it should be at the moment but I know it will go away.

experience: 20 years of hurting myself (the first 9 years I can't remember)

if you didn't knock it see a doctor

No, didn't knock it, was stretching and the pain started and hasn't gone since. I have had an X-Ray that was all clear.

Have you ever used knee supports, I am thinking I might get one...

I had an orthopaedic problem this year and my K co-teacher took me to Ansan Medical Center. It's near Olympic Park in South East Seoul. The doctor I dealt with spoke decent enough English and was very professional.

That being said, I went to a small Ortho clinic for 6 weeks before this and the doctor was a joke. Within 2 minutes of seeing him, he told me I had a degenerative disease with my vertebral discs and that I needed surgery. Neither of which trued out to be in any way true. He then made me do physio/chiropractics everyday, which I still think did more harm than good.

So, be careful. Good luck.
