Hey I have searched all over the internet and on Daves but no luck so I thought I would post here....

I am actually surprised there is no sticky for this....

I am looking into the the available classes for things besides language lessons in Seoul.
(for adults not children and lasts longer than a day)

I would be interested in:
art classes
glass blowing
pottery
sewing
stained glass

For those interested in classes:
I have found drum lessons that already started Sad

I have found yoga lessons...not really my thing...belly dancing definitely not my thing...

I did find the women's group for Seoul but registration has already begun. Although it does sound like they could have some interesting classes.

I already know how to cook all my favorite Korean foods but cooking classes in other kinds of food could be interesting.

I have found a hiking club that goes out on Sundays....
A stitch n bitch group that meets in various locations through out Seoul on Tuesdays and Sundays.

I am also open to other types of classes...

If anyone knows of a post already started about this please let me know Smile

Check the Seoul Global Center's website here: http://global.seoul.go.kr/global/view/community/com07_01.jsp

They have interesting classes from time to time, but they tend to be Korean-esque.

There is a hanji class coming up. Check their news board.

Here's an example of some the classes that were held in October: http://global.seoul.go.kr/webzine/october/sub02.html

I'm a lampworker and I have been looking for a studio to rent to no avail..
I don't think there is much glass blowing going on in Korea outside of the Universities. I did find one studio that had classes but most of the information was in Korean.. Sad

I know one of the art museums offers some kind of caligraphy class during the day.. Also at the basement of the Ssamzie building in Insadong they have some workshops you can try for the day...

I've been searching for the same thing and haven't come up with anything either...

I would be so very intersted in taking some kind of art class or something like that. I myself would be most interested in taking a jewelry making class, but i would really be up for a lot of different things (especially if it related to beadmaking.... like lampwork!!!).

I was in the Insadong workshop thing... i have to admit i found it kinda lame. They claimed to do a jewelry station but it was just cheezy polymer clay ( i like polymer clay in the right circumstances, but this just wasn't). The rest really looked kinda poorly set up and not really planed at all.

I really hope someone posts an answer on here. I'm dying for a good class.

There is a great ceramics studio across the street from Donong station in Namyangju - just one stop further east from Guri. My roommate goes there everyday. Dozens of wheels, a pair of kilns, the whole she-bang.

Edit:
Anyone know either a darkroom or a lighting studio available for rent near Itaewon?
