Had my Iomega HDD 750GB in use for less than a year- downloaded heaps of movies (clean kind ) of scifi, documentaries, kungfu, and even some korean movies only to have the disc stop spinning altogether. I know that taking the drive back to Iomega will be too costly (they probably won't replace it) and since I froze the drive already I am SOL. Is there a shop in Yongsan that handles this for a little fee? |

Any computer shop can swap out the HDD and replace it with another one (external HDDs are just normal HDDs in an external box).
It will probably cost you about 5000 won over and above the cost of the replacement HDD.
There are LOTS of guys/tech-shops in the Son-in Plaza at Yongsan who will do it for you (while you wait). |

I got the feeling he was trying to get it repaired instead of just replacing the drive inside the case. Anyhow, OP, data recovery is extremely expensive and rarely 100%. You're better off just moving on with your life and re-downloading everything. Once the disk refuses to spin, there's really not much you can do to it yourself. |

If it stops spinning your drive is pretty much dead. The good news is since torrent speed is so fast it won't take long to replace |
