I've got an HP Photosmart C6180 All-in-One printer. The oddest thing happened. After I yanked some paper out once about 6 months ago, it started printing striped text about every 3rd line (it also could have been from a clogged inkwell or something, as I've got one of those aftermarket endless inkwell extentions plastered on it). The striping problem ONLY happened when I printed text, and never photos or .pdf's, for example.
So odd...
Even more strange is the workaround I happened across by accident.
If I change the color of my document from black to 95% black (heck, you can't tell the difference between the two), then it prints just fine!
So now i'm a happy camper again. I don't have to buy a new printer. |

Does yours eat through the individual color inks like crazy? I've got a 6380 that uses the 564 inks and its the worst ink economy i've ever seen. |

Well, I've had it over a year and am a little over half through the black well (it's an external ink thing). |
