They just walked in my classroom and sprayed it with a white foggy chemical that smells horrible and walked out like nothing happened. Is this common practice? What the hell is it?

Yes it's common. I think the spray is for cockroaches.

I have yet to see a cockroach anywhere, which is surprising since there is trash all over the street everywhere. What do they look like here? Are they big?

Does the spray contain DDT? Which I am allergic to. Though they tell me it's 'not harmful' I don't know about that. After the spray I never feel too well but it may just be my nerves from the thought of DDT.

That must be sarcasm. I live in Seoul and the trash is disgusting. Street corners are loaded and any tree or stump in between are loaded with trash.

Do you live in an area with trash cans? I guess the big apartment houses have a more hygienic way of dispose of their trash, but for smaller house there is no other way to dispose of your trash then the throw the trash bag on the street, that is where the trash comes from.

It'd be funny if this occurred while you were teaching. You know, adjosshi's are sometimes indifferent like that.
