Yes, I have had this experience at least a couple of times. The first time was when I was a kid, perhaps around the age of 7. I am not sure exactly. And recently, I had the same thing happen again, but I do not remember the overall dream very well except that I "woke up" within the dream and then again for real.

The most peculiar dream I've ever had involved reading a novel. Waking up and remembering what you read in your dream is really cool.

One time, I read a couple of Hangul syllables in a dream.
