I have 2 family members visiting for about one week. They want to stay somewhere in central Seoul that is cheap.

A small, simple room is fine, and if they serve breakfast (Korean is fine), that would be great.

Any suggestions?

When my dad came we stayed at the Daewoo Motel. It's near the Plaza hotel, by City Hall station. A nice room with 2 single beds was 50,000 won. It's not a love motel, just a cheap tourist motel. A little tricky to find though, so be sure and bring the map with you from their website:

This may not be the area you are looking for but I have stayed at the Kaya Hotel between Itaewon and Seoul Station several times. I think it's about 45,000 won per night. It's a simple tourist motel, not fancy, but I like it for the location and the fact that it's relatively quiet. I also like the fact that there is another door between the entrance/bathroom area and the main room. I usually stay there alone so I like the extra security. They usually stock the refrigerator with water and juice boxes also. I think there is a coffee shop on the 1st floor and there are several restaurants in the area.
