Is there any way, something like a Google News alert, whereby I could receive alerts whenever someone posts on ESL Cafe using a certain keyword... like 'SNU'? Thanks.

I don't think you can, I couldn't find any feeds for the forums. If they were fed you could do it via a reader.

My conclusion thus far, too. Thanks for the input.

Here's a Google search function for Dave's that works better than the one here, if that will help you any...

Thanks you two. Now your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to bookmark it and pass it on to the next batch of recruits complaining about the search function on this board--it really does suck. Dimitry, the guy who made the Google search, is a poster here but I forget his username.

My pleasure, Kikomom. I love that old TV version of MI... watched it all the time as a kid.

Haha yes m'am!!

Because seriously, I've found that 99% of the questions I have pertaining to Korea are already answered online (usually at this site...somewhere...). Anything else is just too situation-specific (e.g. 'will this hagwon try to put me in a shoe box**'). Can you tell I'm trying to bolster my courage to take the plunge and go to Korea?? Surprised

As an aside, though I have made only a few posts, I have been 'lurking' here since January, and would like to comment that Kiko seems to have made an unusually large amount of helpful, considerate posts. So cheers to Kiko!! Very Happy

**probably.
