I think you are right in wanting to do better.... but.....

Someone told me once...

You can be right, or you can be happy. Which do you want?

They pay you. They tell you what they want. My advice is submit and be happy. Go over the head of ANY supervisor in ANY country and I am pretty sure you know your life will get worse not better.

I am going to have to agree with you on this one. If you want to keep your job, then people should follow your words; however, it is doubtful that it will make a self-aware person happy.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

This reminds me of a weird song/slogan one of my friends used to sing (apparently her mom used to sing it to her):

"I'd rather have a rock in my shoe than to have a whiny child."

As a teacher of many whiny children, I'd have to agree wholeheartedly with those sentiments.

not necessarily true, you might just become the school doormat. it's not to say that you should complain about the little things, but if there's a big enough problem at your school you should have the intelligence and courage to work towards a resolution with your school. and if need be, go above their heads.

i had a problem a while ago that couldn't be worked out with my school - they basically lied to me in circles every time i asked about it - however, the board sorted it out in about a day.
