OK, here's my deal. I am currently working at a hagwon, and my contract ends Feb. 28. I want my next job to be in a specific area in Gyeonggi-do and I want to work in a public school.

So what is my best course of action to do this?

I'm a bit confused about a couple things. First, I know that I can only use one recuiter. Should I only talk to recruiters who have specific openings? Or should I use one of the bigger recruiters (like Korvia or Footprints) and see what they can do for me?

But what are the chances that I tell the recruiter I want the job in area X, he or she helps me to get that, and then GEPIK reassigns me?

Thanks!

I wanted a school in Pyeongtaek. I talked to many recruiters. When one came up I liked, I went in for an interview.

You're thinking of SMOE (only one recruiter) and EPIK (can reassign you to a different area).

If you want to be in a certain area and in a certain school, go to the school. The school will love to save the recruiter fee.

whiteshoes - i'm leaving at the end of Feb and need/want to find a replacement because i'll only be half way through my second year. It's a great school -Gepik - amazing housing - and i get loads of extra classes (during school hours) which take me up over 3 mil a month. The only downside is i'm a bit out the way - but not too far. Moran is 15 mins on my scooter (i'll be selling it if you wanted it too by the way). There is an E-mart 5 mins away.

PM me if you want. I wasn't planning on starting to look for a replacement just yet - but if you're looking ...
