They're prices are cheaper than whypaymore. We were able to save a couple hundred on tickets to the Philippines. Korean skills are needed to navigate the site but foreign nationals can use the site with their ID card.[/url]

We've been using this company solely for 4 years because they are always the cheapest. However, they are also a bunch of pricks. We have had so many problems with them, for example booking tickets and them never actually booking the tickets. Anyways, we still use them because of their prices, so if they don't screw you, you always save a bit of money.

Hmm.. that's interesting because I've used them for many years, too, and never had any problem.

ssanticket is cheaper (hence the name) if you don't need to plan too far in advance.

This website looks promising, but how have people been paying? Is it strictly online booking, are there any agents you can speak to, and more importantly, how are they able to get tickets for these prices?

You can only contact them by e-mail and they will never answer the phone. We have always paid through bank transfers.

These are ALL sites in Korean.

Are there any good ones that would have English on them? Unfortunately I can't read Korean, but I'd really like to travel. lol

There are sites in English but they'll charge you considerably more. Just get a Korean friend or colleague to help you.

It takes a few days max to learn basically how to read Korean on your own and it'll save you money/time/energy and headaches. One of the best investments I've ever made.

EDIT: I mean you still won't understand much, but for travel you can read city names and such. You should be able to figure out the rest and just find a Korean friend to help you finalize things.

I can read Korean fine, and I can book the tickets, but I just want to be able to read the fine print--so I have a Korean friend that can help me, but I really just wanted to know what other people's experiences were with this site.

I tried to book ticket at onlinetour.co.kr

But I needed to join membership and it asks for my foreigner's number?
I entered Korea with any visa with maximum stay of 30 days (I'm American).
Anyone know what the foreigner's number is referring to? Thanks!

The number they want is your alien registration number, and since you say you came in on a 30-day visa, you don't have one and cannot order online.

Go to the travel agency in person and get your ticket.

i've tried onlinetour.co.kr and was happy to be able to register without difficulty, which is hard as a foreigner. I've also tried www.ttangcheori.co.kr which is easier to remember by going to www.072.com (same site)

I couldn't find any seats on my particular journey on the onlinetour site, but over at www.072.com, i got 2 seats on non-stop flights for cheaper prices. Customer service is also very good, and 072.com offers super cheap last minute fares.
