I was just informed by my school that Gepik does not have it in their budget for their schools to buy flashdrives for Westerner teachers. Does anyone know if this is true or does your school buy the flashdrive for you.
Confused

Who cares? Aren't they about 10,000won for a 1GB?

To answer your question; all the teachers at both my schools got one. I didn't. However the company that supplies the school text books gave all the English teachers at one of my schools a 1GB drive (which I believe is illegal, kind of a kick back).

you cheap ______________!

ppl like you are an embarrassment to us.

Just be proffessional and splash out the whopping 12,000 Won on a 2 gig mem stick...

Lol the expectations some ppl have from this country borders on the insane...

Someone was moaning to me the other day that their school wouldn't re-imburse their daily bus fares.... lol...

Clearly you ppl have never had a job in your own country before????

Lol try living in London and commuting for 100 pounds a month... then try asking your employer if they'll pay it for you and watch them laugh as at the same time a wet patch begins to spread all over the groin area of their trousers. They will P-ss themselves laughing at you.

Grow up

Jeez.

Yeah, I thought those were like digital cameras, everyone has one (some just better than others.)

To answer your post question, my school hasn't supplied me with one and I haven't heard of them being supplied.

A bit flaming. But I'd have to agree with DWAEJIMORIGUKBAP's way of thinking. We've got a nasty reputation in Korea that makes working here harder than it has to be.

Though if it makes you feel better. My school didn't give me a flash drive, they gave me a coffee mug a day after I bought one

Not to pile on, but NONE of the teachers at my school get flash drives from the school. Everyone uses their own (and my head co-teacher even uses his own external hard drive instead).

I just went out and bought the first crappy one I could find. You should do the same.

Sorry to hijack this valuable thread, boys, but my school is refusing to pay for my "work" clothes. I bought a nice suit, but they won't pay for it. I even kept the receipt. This country is ridiculous...

Very Happy
Well, my school did give me a 2GB flashdrive for a gift, does that count? I've also spent over $300 of my own money for resources since I arrived in March. Now, most of this stuff I'll be taking with me when I leave, but I did it for better lessons here as well.

Our school up and bought all the E-teachers at our school 16GB flash drives. We use these on the schools computers.

I have a new 2GB and a 16GB drive now. Thank you school. Smile
