I've only ever been here in the summer before so have never had the experience (until now) of trying to dry clothes in the fall or winter. I am actually getting used to the no dryer thing- we have a dryer built into our washer but it doesn't work well and seems very energy-wasting. I think hang drying the clothes is better for them in the long run, although I miss soft warm clothes out of the dryer. Anyway...we haven't turned on our ondol heat yet, and I've noticed that clothes take forever to dry on the racks. This will only get worse as we break out thicker sweaters!

Out apartment is quite small so I can't imagine spreading everything on the floor to dry on the ondol heat...any tips for getting clothes dry faster??

Thanks!

I find all my clothes, except for maybe pants if they're folded over on the hanger, dry in less than a day in this weather...

Well, that is not happening in my apartment. If it was I wouldn't have posted.

if your washer is spinning properly then they should be drying fairly quickly. gets worse later when it's damp and cold.

what i do is wash and hang the clothes before going to work and open all the windows....dry within a day or half

Take that fan that you used to cool off with last summer. Put it on low, aim it so it hits every part of the rack and set it to swing back and forth. Should lower drying time lots, even in the winter.

Unless you're running a dozen humidifiers I don't see why your clothes take so long to dry this time of year. The air is pretty dry in the winter and if you run a fan on low near your drying clothes the air ought to take the moisture out of your clothes pretty quickly. If you have a separate "balcony" you could hang your clothes there, open a window, and keep the door between the balcony and your apartment closed.

Yeah,
depending on how warm you keep your apartment, clothing can actually dry faster in the winter because the air is so much drier.
