|
|
I have a friend who has had a few minor scrapes with the Law in Korea. He's being put forward for a public school job in Korea. He wanted me to post and ask if they will do a Korean criminal background check as well as his American CRC etc...
I said probably not, as another friends has had two minor scrapes here and they landed a ps job a month ago...
But I don't know the official line.... |

| It is a hit and miss thing. If he has experience teaching in Korea. They might ask him for a Korean Criminal background check as well. I have seen them only ask for a Korean Background Check if his or her employment was continuous and he or she never left Korea. I think that they need to apply and she what is asked of them. |

my last two public schools both asked me to sign a consent form that allowed them to request a korean background check on my behalf, but it was the provincial offices that were requesting it - not my school.
It was 7 and 4 months into the respective contracts so if they claim it was to ensure the safety of their students, it wasnt very effective. |
