hi. i was wondering if anyone here has heard back from their recruiter about whether/when they're scheduled for an SMOE interview. my recruiter submitted my application over a week ago, but SMOE hasn't gotten back to her yet. is that a bad sign? are most attractive applicants notified about an interview date immediately? how long do applicants usually have to wait to hear whether they've made it to the next round?

| Given that SMOE won't start any new teachers for another 4 months, I wouldn't worry too much about not having an interview yet. Still, there is a lot of competition for SMOE these days and if you are a newbie you might want to keep your options open - ie either consider hagwons or Gyeonggi-Do/other cities' public school jobs. |
