cheap drinks: Soju Kettles at Polly's
pub: I guess Gekkos because there's no other choice and it sort of feels like Boston or something.
club: Volume if theres a good event. Spy Basement after 1 or 2am - nice mix of freaks, expats, russians and MILFs
hamburger: Burger King surprisingly hits the spot. The other diner-like places are total ripoffs and/or depressing.
pizza: Sortinos.
thai: is Thai orchid still open?
mexican:
mediterranean:
italian: Sortinos. One of the best pizzas I've had anywhere (including Italy)
indian:
late night spot: anywhere. the later the better since the whole area looks depressing during the day
day time spot: the antique stores down the hill (not the ones on main itaewon-ro)
jimjilbang: avoid. they are gay pick-up areas unless you go to the Hyatt.
sober activity: Leeum museum. The Korean War Museum. Walking through the back alley with all the nigerians. Also I like walking around the embassy area and former military areas and finding strange things such as a closed down firing range or park chunghee era neighborhoods which are only accessible by foot/scooter.
not on the list/can't miss: hooker hill / homo hill on a good night (sat. night) when there are paying customers being grabbed by girls and drunk idiots fighting. feels like its a Vietnam war-era movie

jimjilbang: in Itaewon? why?

When the ITAEWON jimjilbang first open 4 years ago it was really good. Quite a few drama shows were filmed there. It had a nice restaurant, was clean, and was big. It kind of went down hill a bit before clossing for about a year. It has reopened again but I haven't been back yet. Does anyone know how it is these days? i'm pretty picky when it comes to Saunas. i think the dragon hill sauna is kind of dirty and in need of renovations.
