I just got back from having one of the best sandwiches I've had in Seoul. It is kind of a like a New York style deli.

The reasons i'm actually taking the time to post about it:

1. the sandwiches are huge
2. they are cheap
3. the cook slices the meat in front of you from a big chunk of meat the size of a football(none of that pre-sliced garbage)
4. the ingredients are fresh
5. they have a big menu
6. the cook speaks decent English
7. they have bagel sandwiches in the morning
8. THEY DELIVER but its neat watching him make the sandwich (EVEN JUST ONE SANDWICH)
9. and i want them to do well cuz I live nearby and it beats cooking

The place is called Sandwich King 02-3141-1419. If you want to go there in person, walk out of Sangsu exit #4 and turn left. Go straight for 100 meters and turn right at S-Mart Convenience store. Then walk straight for 50 meters and it's on your left.

Anyways, here are some pics

Like most Korean sandwiches, they look to be overdoing it with the lettuce.

Is that bread that is not white?? If it's not sweetened like that Outback rubbish, I may well weep for joy.

That looks fantastic. I think you've done this place a big favour by posting that picture, I'm sitting here flipping starved.

Looks like a typical Koreanized version of a Deli Sandwich, plus they haven't been able to scare up any real ingredients. Where are the cheeses? Where are the meats? And what's with the 9 chips on the side of the low budget plate?

Well, at least it's cheap.

It's just that I've been let down so, so many times in Korea by new sandwich places before. I don't know if I can go through it again.

just finished breakfast there...i hate cooking and theres nothin like a strawberry protein smoothie and coffee to get me prepped for work.

talked to the guy about the lettuce and he told me that that sandwiches are completely customizable...ie. a little lettuce, no tomato, and double meat. brown bread costs 300 won extra and double meat costs 500 won extra. the cheese looks likes it presliced, but it is mosdef better than that the presliced stuff from 7-11 or homever. i think it might be that costco velveeta cheese.

I'm getting the King Club.

kermo, sandwhiches!!!!

sorry but the meat looks like any you can buy at the local supermart, way too much lettuce and the cheese is processed wrapped shit right? doesn't do that much for me i'm afraid.
