|
|
I am looking to shop around for some older video games that were released in Korea. I'm mostly looking to buy Sega Mega Drive (Sega Genesis in USA) games. In Korea they went under the name Samsung Super Aladdin Boy, but the games and consoles are still definitely Sega.
Are there some certain markets that might have this stuff. I guess even a flea market might, but I haven't really done any shopping any Seoul. Where should I start to look to find some of this stuff. I would also be interested in the Nintendo stuff (distributed by Hyundai).
Either official releases or bootlegs, I'm just curious what is still available and how easily I'll be able to get it.
Thanks! |

There was an embargo on Japanese stuff for some time in Korea. I don't think any Genesis games were officially released in Korea. That said, your best bet is in the video game alley in Yongsan. They've got some old, weird stuff lying around there. Search this site for directions, they've been posted a million times. |

It would be interesting to see what you come up with. You should do a blog about it. |
