I know there is a lot of military but what is life like there?
Good places to eat?
Locals friendly?
Clean air?
Close to Seoul..how long by bus?
Anything else? |

I actually like it here and I've been here over three years, although not everyone does. It is an older city so probaly doesnt look as nice as some of the newer ones.
There are a lot of Korean resteraunts and some western ones, but they are expensive.
Koreans tend to be a bit standoffish until they know you, same everywhere but overall they are ok.
The air is cleaner than Seoul I guess but not exactly pristine, all depends on where you are from as to how you see it I guess.
It is close to Seoul, depending on which area you live in and which part of Seoul. The subway is very good and there are a lot of buses to different areas. It takes about 45+ mins to Itaewon on the subway if that helps.
There is a lot of military around here which is not entirely a bad thing. it means there are a lot of bars that are friendly and the staff speak English.
Good luck. |
