Hey there,

I'm looking for other novice musicians who want to get out of their apartments and practice with other people.

I play trombone, and while I'm still practicing to get back to where I was in high school, I'd like to start playing some sheet music with others so that my etude and scale practices lead to something.

So I dunno, maybe you have been practicing that accordion for a year. Maybe the cello isn't your first instrument, whatevs. I'm looking for people who want other people to play with.

I'm interested in Jazz and Classical (that isn't insanely difficult).

Telling us where you are might help.

If something gets going I might be interested. I play guitar and drums but I kinda suck at guitar and I haven't touched a drum set in years.

I am so definately interested in this. There's a meetup.com group that used to do this, but the organizer of that part went back home to britan.

Only potential prob/awesome part? I'm a trombone player too.

Let me know. I'd really be into playing some classical/jazz......maybe even some ska???

If I get accepted and I get to Korea, I'm definitely game for this idea. I played the Alto Sax for like 7 years back in the day and it's now been a good 8 years since I played. It'd be nice to get back into it.

Seoul is tad too far for me to travel. I play an awful piano. Maybe I can be a groupie.

I would be very interested in this, if the distance were not such as issue. I played violin all through school, and haven't played since until recently. Back then it was all classical music I played, and am currently working to learn more of a fiddle style. A Dave Matthews Band type practice group sounds awesome!!

Hey all,

Glad to know people are interested!

I'm collaborating with someone right now via email so I'll write down your names and PM you when we decide on something solid.

that sounds really cool. If the whole duelling trombones situation is strange, i also own a djembe, and wouldn't mind playing around with that.

i'm in gaepo-dong -- played classical cello for 13 years and then stopped through high school, but took it back up in college and have been practicing casually since then. i managed to rent a cello in bangbae, and might be up for some informal chamber groups or whatever if it can fit my schedule and isn't too far.

long-distance commuting on the crowded subways with a rented cello (in a soft case) is a bit more exciting than i'd be willing to do, lol.
