For that kind of contract you wouldn't have to worry about not putting Thai money in your back pocket.

It reminds me of my first ESL job in Mexico. The classes weren't so large and there was air conditioning, but they were ancient machines that sounded like a jet engine in your ear. I would run it before class, teach until it was unbearably hot, and then give the kids a writing assignment for a few minutes while I ran it again. Otherwise no one could hear me teach (many of them probably would have preferred that).

The alarm bells that ring for me with the Thai job is that one line says there is free housing, and another says there isn't. Other than that, CL, it's not really such a bad job! A month and a half vacation (albeit unpaid) and about 1.1 million won equivalent at Thai costs of living. But I'll stay in Korea, warts and all.
