So yet again, we have some token foreigners who clearly aren't English teachers being portrayed as the bad guys in the club. I mean, sure, it's not like we've not seen a scene like that a thousand times before in a Korean drama, but this time it was only the foreigners harrasing the girl. Reminds me of that music video a couple years back with only the foreign guys trying to rape the girl (or however it went).

Pffft.

Well correct me if I'm wrong, but these types of shows/dramas just want foreign actors/characters in their show to make it seem "global". Same thing with the random English in the shows. It's really off-putting to tell you the truth... if I actually cared, I would write to whomever and tell them how stupid it is, in relative terms, to have that nonsense just to portray whatever it is they're trying to show! In this particular drama, a lot of the scenes are shot overseas and have that in the storyline.

It wasn't like this whole drama was shot in Korea, with an all-Korean cast and storyline, then all of a sudden, at some random Korean bar, two foreign characters are scripted to do this. Personally, I think you're getting your panties in a bunch... I didn't think twice about this, so I don't think it's something to make a mountain out of a molehill so-to-speak.

Back to the real world, I could see that happening... just not with that result that occurred in the drama haha.

Actually I didn't react at all, because it's something I am used to seeing having watched hundreds of Korean dramas over the years.

But it's still worthy of note in our grand list of stereotyping.

Have yet to watch it because I tend to avoid any drama or soap that is longer than 20 episodes - I saw it advertised along with a mentioning of 영국, what's it about?

some restaurant, its got a foreigner in it who speaks korean well, he's fairly central to most episodes and is quite entwined in the story.
