No idea. Haven't seen a game in years. But apparently this will be the first time ever games are played in November. I'm a big fan, actually, and miss it a lot.

Cable channel OBS is showing it. It's no 13 on my TV. Yours maybe different.
Broadcast begins around 8:50 AM.

Damn, it's raining in Philly.

Where's scotty on the iirc definition?

Possible explanation - Baseball was primarily an American sport for about 70-80 years. Only recently have Asians adopted their love for the game. Maybe the U.S. should have named it the "National Series" or the "U.S. Series".

Because America is the greatest country ever and we're completely ignorant of every country on earth on account of our greatness and freedom loving.

iirc means " if i remember correctly," i just assumed people would know, i guess its my geek coming through there.

It does strike me as quite ignorant to call it the "world series". I quite like baseball though, its lasts for ages so you can get wasted over the course of the game. Also, im related to Matt Franco who used to play for the cubs and the braves.

Great story.

The name's been around for decades, it was created in a more ignorant time, get over it.
