I'm sure it is. I don't even have to check my calendar. All I need to do is look at my school. Every door and every window is wide open. That must mean it's wintertime! I'm wondering why "close the door" is such a hard concept for the students to grasp.

You forgot to add that the heater is blasting while all of this is going on.

Would that were true! The heater is off "to save money on fuel costs."

Not in our main office. Seems my VP can't decide if he wants frozen or toasty.

Apparently 'fresh' air helps the student's study I'm told....

Fresh air only helps the students study when it's under 5 C out. It can also be helpful when the a/c is on. Fresh air between 15 and 30 however is dangerous and must be avoided.

I'm seriously considering making a fake newspaper article that says "Winter air coming through an open window into a room with a door also open creates the 'fan effect' and therefore is quite dangerous."

If you make that, please send one to my school! It's $#%^% freezing in here! I'm wearing a rabbit fur sweater, wool coat and Ugg-like boots and I'm still cold.

I think all this heating/airing out paranoia weirdness comes from years of fire-heated ondol. Death from carbon monoxide poisoning was probably fairly common.
