|
|
I just got here and there are a few things I'd like to buy. I am living in Nowon in Seoul and don't want to travel too far to get anything.
* = highest priority
I haven't gotten paid yet so I don't have much money right now, I start work next week, so in a month or less I'll be ready to buy a lot of stuff. Other than the space heaters, I can wait at least a month for these if not longer. If you have any of these things and it is FULLY FUNCTIONING let me know. Send me a short description and photo (unless its completely ridiculous as is the case with a mop or dish towels), tell me how much you want for it, when you'll be ready to part with it and where I could meet you to pick it up.
Looking for:
* electric oven (not a toaster oven or a gas oven)
* Space heaters (either one big one or 2 small ones)
Mop & bucket (relatively clean)
Swiffer sweeper (or similar)
queen size (or larger) duvet (must be clean or washable and from non-smoking home)
squeegee
plastic or metal rack for shower to hold shampoo, etc.
* foam or feather-top mattress pad (full or queen size) (must be clean or washable and from non-smoking home)
vacuum cleaner
Charcoal grill
Things I would get only if they were really cheap and convenient to pick up:
dish towels (in decent condition)
microwave oven
rice cooker
glasses (tumblers, large water glasses, wine glasses, etc., only need a few)
dinner plates (set of 4 preferred)
cutlery
tupperware or similar |

FYI... electric ovens here in korea costs about $7000 dollars or 7 mill won give or take. Doubtful you'll be able to find one
Other stuff you can find those at a used shops. There's at least one around your area. It's good to ask somebody from work. |

|

Hi, FYI, we recently bought small electric oven/grill/microwave from HiMart for about W340,000 on sale.
We've got an IKEA 'Sultan Tuvebo' mattress pad (bought about a year ago for about W300,000. Asking half price). Its in excellent condition, as new, like a pillowtop and provides extra comfort for a queen size mattress. The pad's filling is polyster wadding, natural and synthetic latex and wool. And I've got a rice cooker which we'll throw in for free. I'll send you some pics if you like.
You'd be able to arrange to pick up everything for pretty cheap. Your school might be able to help to arrange that. We also have some other stuff like study desks, file drawers, SS bed frame, kettle. We're about 30mins south of Seoul. |

After several trips to appliance shops, I would say a convection oven could be had for 350k-1m won depending on size and features. I have never seen a 7m won oven. |

Thanks. A convection oven is a possibility. I was asking here first to see if anyone who had lived in Korea for a couple of years was getting rid of any kind of electric oven I could buy off them for less than what it would be new. I wouldn't spend $700, and if I wanted to I wouldn't be asking here. |

I got a countertop toaster oven for 50,000 from the iPark mall at yongsan. For a single person or a couple you can get something perfectly sufficient quite cheap |
