I have a problem with my washing machine. I've tried running it a few times but it keeps happening...

I have a TROMM DD Inverter 8kg front-loading washing machine. I put my clothes and detergent in like normal. It normally takes about 1h36 min for a load. Once the timer gets down to 45 minutes it stops moving and starts beeping. A little sign illuminates that reads "필트 청소". "Fresh water filter" maybe? I dunno.

Anyways, it leaves a bunch of water in the machine, so when clothes are in they are dripping wet and there's a bunch of water sitting in the machine. I don't know what to do, other than call a repair company. I'd rather save myself some money if this is easy to fix.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks

That happened to me. Is yours connected to the sink? My problem was my sink was clogged and the water wasnt going thru. My school cleaned the sink and it worked.

Call LG service. They'll charge you very little to fix, unless a part needs to be replaced.

I have a top loader but this was the problem with mine too. Unblock the sink, problem solved.

Sometimes mine does this and if you put it on a spin cycle or a different settng it will drain. My normal wash is only 37 mins or 60 mins but the setting that drains is only 11 mins.

Are you using a setting that perhaps tells the machine to "keep water"?
I accidently did that the other day when I was washing a blanket... Didn't realize what had happened until I had water all over my floor, LOL.... Ran the spin cycle and all was fine...

필트 청소 (?)

Are you sure it's not 필터 청소?

필터 means filter. 청소 means clean. So it's asking you to clean your filter. May be it's clogged up by lint and hair etc., which would explain why it won't drain...

Check your hose and drain. This is an easy fix and something you can do yourself. Just pull it out of the drain.

Actually, this happened to me the other day.

I have the exact same TROMM washer.

If you look at the bottom left corner of the washer, you'll see a rectangular piece of plastic. It's about 3"x4". It can be opened by sticking a 500 won coin into the slit at the top and prying it open. Inside you'll find a black cap that can be twisted off.

**Be careful!! All of the water that is "stuck" inside your washer will come pouring out! I wasn't aware that this would happen when I did it and spent about an hour mopping up my floor.

I had the same problem. Check that bottom left hand plate...but beware of the water. In my case, a couple thousand won bills had clogged the filter. I assume something is clogging yours as well. A bucket works well. Good luck!
