I think the outcome of the Doc is that the No 1 influence on your life (is/are) your parent(s).

If you've come through life without either, good on you! I think anyone that has done such a thing would understand the word 'family' and want it for their kids......

I've read his basic conclusion in other places and I agree. It's not genetics, but culture, socio-economic class and familly.

East Asian and Jews rountinely achieve hagh IQ scores and it's no coincidence that these cultures share a extreme focus on education.


The same cannot be said for certain other cultures.
