I'm a dude. I have curly / wavy hair. I can't get a decent haircut in Seoul. I tell the dude to just do a trim, one centimeter at most. I always leave with something akin to the Bruce-uh Willus-uh haircut. Is there a place in Seoul (Itaewon would be even better) where a Western dude can get a decent haircut?
Does anyone know about that African hair salon on the lower hill in Itaewon. I can't remember the name, Ebony or something. I wonder if they can do unconventional (for Korea) haircuts.
Gotta find a place soon.
Thanks. |

you could always try the green turtle in itaewon (i believe it's above the coffee bean and cold stone). it's pricy, but the hair dressers do speak english very well. |

I would definitely recommend the Green Turtle. Michelle is great with foreigner hair. I don't think its pricey - 10,000won for men 25,000 for women. I paid like 3x's that in the states. Anyway, you need to call and make an appt though...everyone speaks English. 02-790-6266 |

^ ah, you're probably right. the only time i went there i got a magic straight and they charged me about 120,000 won. i was told at korean hair salons it was only 60-80,000 won (depending on length). |

Find a Juno Hair location near you.
I'm incredibly vain and picky about my hair. They're the only place I trust anymore. |

I've been through some tough times with haircuts here. It's so hit and miss.
I've had some cuts that look great and I've also had some real shockers.
These days, I have reverted to the only barber I trust: Myself. I just shave it to about 9mm every 2 weeks, and I now I'm fully satisfied. |
