can anyone confim that an individual (ie teacher) can or cannot get a degree certificate apostlled in Seoul by either;
A/ KCUE
B/ The British council?

can anyone confirm if it is possible to do this through a recruiter?hogwan if individuals cannot?

Also, is anyone renewing a contract soon and has found they needed to either return (physically) or their documents to the UK as a means of simplifying/speeding up the process of E2 application? (rather than authenticating documents, specifically the degree, here).
I will attempt to collect as much info as I can about this and post it. Im
calling around at the moment and will visit kimmi./call KCUE next week.

Once i have lots of info. Ill post for other folk to read- theres a lot of grey on this subject - I for one am as confused as hell...

thanks for any help

After a chat with KCUE this morning, they are not currently accepting degree certificates for verification. You can get the 'notary public' stamp from the British Council in Seoul (costs 60,000w), but you will need to send it back to the FCO in the UK to get it apostilled. Immigration told me two/three days ago that I do not need the degree apostilled at the moment for renewing, but I will need proof to show that it is in process, and then I'll have to submit it as soon as possible. There's another thread on here which suggests that the visa changes may not be going ahead at this point in time.
