So my neighbor has 1gbps internet (as reported by his LAC status).
My q's are this: Does anyone have this? Confirm that speeds are true?
2. wireless N peaks at 300mbps-500mbps, and wireless N usb adapters seem to max out at 150mbps, are there better wifi options?
Any help or clarification would be appreciated. |

There's N+ and N1 which are "stronger" versions of N according to manufacturers like Linksys and Belkin but working at Best Buy for a while and talking to Geek Squad guys there's really no need for them as they are not officially tested to be significantly stronger than N. |

find out what their monthly payment for this interent connection and who is the service provider. it depends.. he/she could be getting great speeds.. depends on how many nodes are on his/her block.
The less people using one node means better bandwidth in theory. so its possible this person is getting higher than avg speeds.
