My kindergarten will close tomorrow. I just found out an hour ago. I'm almost starting the ninth month of my contract (it's also my third year in Korea).

I just wondered what the situation with immigration or any other relevant authorities would be if I want to transfer my visa.

I want to (need to) stay until March. Is it possible to transfer?

Any advice would be appreciated. I'm totally up the creek without a paddle just now.

They may let you transfer to another school. I think you need 9 months in with your currently employer to do so. If you're under that, they may make exceptions.

I'd go into immigration and talk to them. Maybe there's someting they can do for you. Normally, they'd have to cancel your alien card and give you 30 days to exit Korea, but you have to go in and cancel it.

I think they can give you a few days to transfer to another school. Problemis finding a school, if you haven't already. If you already have a school that wants to hire you, that would solve your problem, most likely.

Talk to immigration.
