Couldn't find this...
Anyone know what the going rate is? I paid a flat fee of 25 to send from UK to Korea a few months ago... does it work on a flat fee basis or is there a %age tied into the amount you transfer?
Thanks... |

Depends on the Korean bank, the UK bank, the type of account you have, and how you transfer (online or in-person) - and if you are calculating the total cost in s then it also depends on the exchange rate on the day you transfer the cash. I have an EZ plus account with KEB here in Korea....there is a discount for doing the transaction online....I usually pay around 15000 won I believe.....Natwest takes another fee when the money arrives in the UK....about 15 or something like that.
I believe it is based on a flat rate system.....x amount for amonts between a and b, y amount for amounts between c and d, etc. |

It'll vary from bank to bank. My bank, KNB, charges 18000 won to send and my HSBC account charges 6 to receive. This doesn't appear to change regardless of how much i send. |
