Hey All,

I'm selling my tried and true (which means old) 15.4" Apple PowerBook G4 1.67GHz. It's the penultimate PowerBook model they released before the Intel chips, specs are here:

http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powerbook_g4/stats/powerbook_g4_1.67_15.html

Looks like these things still go for quite a pretty penny:

Mine actually has 1.5GB of DDR RAM, whereas the one listed above only has 1GB. US$809 = roughly KRW 956,642.5 (at today's rate, at least). I'm asking for 900,000 KRW, which I think is a fair price, especially considering how marked-up Macs are over here.

Also, I have a legitimate copy of Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac (Special Media Edition) installed (which I'll leave on there if you'd like), and I have the original OS X (Tiger) install CDs, so you can re-format if you want.

It also comes with a Sandisk 6-in-1 card-reader.

And I'll even throw in my nice Case-Logic grey/yellow neoprene sleeve. I love this thing, seriously; if only it fit my new MBP.

The laptop is in very good condition, with only a few very minor cosmetic flaws.

Of course, there is no warranty, but I'm a bit of a computer nerd, so I will provide you with 6 months of Greg Brown tech support, open M-F from 10 AM until 3 PM. Smile

If you want to see pictures or come over and play with it, let me know.

Cheers!

-Greg

i would like to see pictures. but i think your price is way too high even for korea even with the 'extras'. tech support is a nice touch though.

Sure, I'll post pictures tonight. How is 900,000 KRW too much? They're being sold for $810 US right now . . . But then again, that is only one site.

I'll see how much this one on eBay goes for, it's roughly the same specs, though again mine comes with the adapter, case, install DVDs and world famous Wink tech support.

If nobody wants it for 900,000 KRW, I'll sell it for the Korean equivalent of whatever this one goes for:

Cheers,
Greg

No offense, but a newer MacBook is not comparable to an older PowerBook. If it was a MacBook Pro, then OK.

PowerBook G4 - 15.4", Aluminum body, 1.5 GB RAM, 8X DVD-RW, Firewire 400 + 800, full sized DVI (no adapter needed), and discrete 64MB Radeon video card

MacBook - 13.3", plastic body, 2 GB RAM, 4x DVD-RW, Firewire 400, mini-DVI (adapter required), and integrated Intel video memory

I'm not going to lie, a 2GHz Core2 is going to run faster than my 1.67GHz PPC, but that's only one factor to consider. Mag-safe plug is cool, an built-in webcam is nice, but again, different strokes for different folks.

However, for the record, the other post lists the MB as a 2.13 GHz, black, but as far as I know Apple never released a 2.13 GHz black MB . . .

But hey, the good news is, if nobody wants it, nobody has to buy it. Smile

I'll take 500,000 KRW for it. I'm not going any lower than this, since my laptop has more ram, comes with more accessories, has the original install DVDs and is already in Korea. If nobody wants it for 500,000, I'll just take it apart and mod it into something.

Final offer.

Pics coming soon.
